Picks and Pans Review: Everest North Wall

Robert Redford narrates this excellent documentary about an unsuccessful American 1982 Mount Everest expedition that ended in tragedy: the death of the group's lone woman, Marty Hoey, in a fall near the summit. Several members of the diverse group are profiled, while Steve Marts' fine camera work captures the mountain in all its menace and grandeur.
