Robert Altman directed this critically panned Broadway drama, which has enjoyed more success as a movie. The plot concerns a Jimmy Dean fan club, which is holding its 20th reunion. Cher surprises as a wisecracking waitress, and Karen Black does the best she can as a transsexual. The plot is simultaneously incredible and predictable. (Subsequent air dates: 6/25, 6/30, 7/3)
