WISHMAN
ABC (8-9 p.m. ET)
This contrived, failed pilot features Joseph Bottoms as a bioengineer trying to create life in the form of a dwarfish creature called "Wishman." Enter James Keach as a villain who wants to spirit away Wishman. It's all very mild sci fi, with Wishman easily defeating Keach, who delivers a one-expression performance. It's easy to understand why Wishman did not make the cut.
