Another gentle series from Waltons creator Earl Hamner stars newcomer Tom Byrd as a talented young man who wants to make it as a singer in the South in the 1950s. Boone's parents want him to be a minister. The handsome Byrd is appealing in his early-Elvis role, and he is backed by an experienced cast (Barry Corbin, Elizabeth Hoddle and Ronnie Claire Edwards). It's family entertainment as refreshing as lemonade on the back porch.
