This predictable new series fumbles as a would-be combination of Medical Center and Urban Cowboy. Cutter is a small town near Houston, and the medics tend to emergencies at a small hospital there. Jim (Tex) Metzler, Shelley Hack (with high-fashion eyes peeking over her gauze mask) and Alec Baldwin are not credible as medics, but, since personal lives are going to be the focus of the series, it may not matter to viewers.
