Picks and Pans Review: When Your Lover Leaves

Valerie Perrine and David Ackroyd are at odds in this likable TV movie about a woman who must start over after her married boyfriend returns to his wife. Perrine is touching as a woman getting an introduction to independence. Unlike An Unmarried Woman, this drama doesn't cheat by facilely taking its heroine from loneliness to Mr. Right.
