With this 13-part miniseries budgeted at $5.8 million, the Disney Channel enters the world of original cable programming. The story, set in the Australian frontier in the 1860s, centers on the lives of two women who run a way station. With Louise Clark and Liz Burch in the leading roles, this Australian-American co-production has an impressive crop of bad guys, romance and adventure. This is the kind of solid family entertainment that would make Walt proud.
