That's Eddie (Trading Places) Murphy donning pal Stevie Wonder's trademark shades. Murphy showed up onstage for Wonder's opening night at Manhattan's Radio City and joined in singing the finale. Afterward, at a post-gig party at the Red Parrot, Murphy borrowed his friend's glasses and eased into his inimitable Stevie Wonder imitation. As for the pair's professional specs, Wonder is about to release a studio LP and Murphy is set to co-star with Dudley Moore in the political satire The Best Defense.
QB Todd slips on soap
To a lot of jocks, "light" means something less filling that tastes great. But when New York Jets quarterback Richard Todd uses that word, he's referring to CBS's Guiding Light, his wife Lulu's favorite soap. Drafted into a guest appearance, Todd played up to homecoming queen Mindy Lewis (actress Krista Tesreau), but did not complete the pass. When he kissed Krista during rehearsal, he turned to his wife off-camera and explained, "I'm sorry, honey, that's in the script."
