After Spacehunter, a disastrous venture into the world of 3-D sci-fi movies, Peter Strauss is back. This time he is an out-of-work Cincinnati mill hand facing the effects of unemployment: tensions at home with his wife (Pamela Reed) and children; drinking; menial job offers, and distrust of an institution that he had previously held sacred—his union. Strauss gives a performance as solid as sheet metal in a television film that grapples, sometimes awkwardly, with an all-too-common situation.
