Just because Matthew Laborteaux defected to Whiz Kids is no reason to kill off his Little House character, Albert Ingalls. In this morbid Little House special, Albert's death is stretched over two hours. The actors—including Michael Landon as Pa and Melissa Gilbert (see page 177) as Laura—perform well, but it's depressing holiday fare.
