CBS (9-11 p.m. ET)

As a teaser for CBS's spinoff series (premiering Jan. 29), the network is showing Alan Alda's 1981 film about three middle-aged couples who share vacations and marital difficulties. The satire (directed and written by Alda, who is co-producing the new show) is good-hearted and knowing, and the cast (particularly Carol Burnett and Jack Weston) is excellent. Weston will be a regular on the new sitcom.
