This dramatization of the Robert Louis Stevenson novel, shot on location in England and Wales, is full of swashbuckling fun. The show stars Michael York and Richard Thomas as two eighteenth-century Scottish blue bloods—brothers who are rivals for the title to their family estate. Watch for John Gielgud as the father and Finola (Staying Alive) Hughes as a beautiful cousin. Here's that increasingly rare tube commodity: intelligent escapism.
