Picks and Pans Review: The Final Conflict

CBS (9-11 p.m. ET)

This is the third and, mercifully, the final movie installment of The Omen, inexplicably a 1976 box-office hit that could at least boast Gregory Peck as a cast member. Number three—a box-office fizzle—has only Sam (My Brilliant Career) Neill, who plays Damien, the Antichrist, all grown-up and ready to conquer the world. His no-good ways include setting a pack of dogs on his enemies and killing babies. For all its long-winded pretensions, the movie is really pretty dopey.
