Picks and Pans Review: American Playhouse: Popular Neurotics

UPDATED 02/13/1984 at 01:00 AM EST Originally published 02/13/1984 at 01:00 AM EST

PBS (9-10 p.m. ET)

Museum curator Jeff (The Big Chill) Goldblum and anesthesiologist Mimi Kennedy, two angst-ridden singles, meet cute at an automatic teller machine and begin dating. This first play by Aubrey Wertheim takes a humorous, realistic look at the difficulties smart people face with fledgling romance. Goldblum and Kennedy, an appealing actress whose TV series (3 Girls 3 and The Big Show) keep failing, are exceedingly agreeable.
