Picks and Pans Review: Snow Segues into Sleaze

ABC's marathon 63½ hours of Winter Olympics end Sunday, Feb. 19, giving the other networks a chance to compete in their ratings Olympics, the February sweeps. CBS goes into the starting gate Sunday with Part One of Master of the Game, a miniseries that's not mini enough. On Monday, ABC fights back with Superman II and PBS with a rock star playing Shakespeare. The best: the Olympics. They're worth the price ABC paid—$91.5 million (a bargain compared to the $309 million ABC is paying for the '88 Canadian Winter Games in Calgary).
