If you find Gilbert & Sullivan appealing, you will relish this lavish TV version starring Joel Grey as Jack Point, a jester who for money lets a condemned prisoner marry his sweetheart. If, on the other hand, you find opera—even light opera—too heavy a meal, that doesn't mean you should shun Yeomen. You don't have to listen to the old-English dialogue or pay too much attention to the plot; just listen to all the merry music and you'll probably find yourself humming involuntarily. Yeomen, the first of a dozen Gilbert & Sullivan productions to be aired in the next three years, will be simulcast in stereo in most cities on American Public Radio.
