CBS (Tuesday, April 17, 9 p.m. ET)

A touching tribute (is there any other kind?) to the queen of silent pictures, Lillian Gish, 87. Lots of stars have nice things to say: Douglas Fairbanks Jr., John Huston, Jeanne Moreau, Sally Field, Lily Tomlin and more. But the best parts are the excerpts from her many films, from 1915's The Birth of a Nation to 1922's Orphans of the Storm, all shown in new prints with lively orchestral scores.
