Meat meets Marilyn
The tresses were similar when frenetic rocker Meat Loaf, 36, and androgynous singer Marilyn, 23, got together in Aldbury, England at a party thrown for 2,000 by the Thompson Twins. Meat Loaf raved about Marilyn's newly snipped blond locks. And Marilyn cooed about Meat's curves. He's sliced off more than 70 pounds on the Cambridge Diet and now appears almost statuesque at 6' and 190.

In this corner
He's still a knockout with the ladies, but singer Tom Jones underwhelmed light heavyweight Ricky Womack, 23, who was trying out for the U.S. Olympic boxing team. Jones, 44, jumped at the chance to spar—very briefly—between his performances at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, site of the Olympic Trials. "What am I doing here?" Jones joked, before emerging with pride and proboscis intact.

A passing pas de deux
The audience was on its toes at the opening of the summer ballet season at the Royal Opera House in London when the American Ballet Theatre's Mikhail Baryshnikov, 36, arrived for a busman's holiday with model Isabella Rossellini, age 32. But don't start talk of a duet. Isabella and Misha are to begin shooting White Nights, an adventure film involving Baryshnikov's old friends, the Soviet KGB.
