Picks and Pans Review: The Soaps

Let's look at priorities, America. No. 1 is the Olympics. No. 2 is the soap operas. We can't do without them. And we won't. During the games, ABC is running its three top-rated soaps—All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital—in 40-minute shows, all "especially hard-hitting and action-packed," promises the network.


It is, of course, impossible to know which days will be best for watching. But here's a look at the probable tops, including the names of some high-ranked athletes expected to compete:
