Picks and Pans Review: To Every Season, Turn, Turn, Turn

Bring on the trumpets, bring on the kazoos, the new TV season is about to begin with 22 new shows. A third of them are worth watching—not a bad average for TV. Five of this week's debuts are reviewed below. Two others, NBC shows premiering on Sunday, Sept. 16—Miami Vice, a thoughtful, taut detective show that joins the schedule on Sept. 28, and Punky Brewster, a cute kidcom—will be reviewed shortly.
