Picks and Pans Review: Trivia Adventure

UPDATED 10/22/1984 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 10/22/1984 at 01:00 AM EDT

For some disconcerting reason, players in this game (released in 1983 but still available) each have spaceships and are racing to the "planet Quizaar." That structure has nothing to do with the content of the questions. Since there are only 2,000 items it seems unbalanced to have so many elementary ones ("Who was the President of the U.S.A. in 1982?" "In what month do most people celebrate New Year's Day?" "Famous writer: Edgar Allen—-.") This is a 7-to-adult game for 5-year-olds. Or at least, more trivia, less art. (Pressman Toy Corp., New York, N.Y. 10010, $25)
