The logo from the hit film Ghostbusters inspired any number of imitations, from "Cub busters" during the baseball play-offs to "pricebusters" in various ads, Fritzbusters and Reaganbusters in the election and even Trollbusters (Santa Cruz, Calif. punks who beat up indigent street people called "trolls" because they seek shelter under the city's bridges). Los Angeles Times sports columnist Scott Ostler finally organized his readers to put a halt to it. Those who signed up, of course, were "Buster Busters."
