When British Ambassador Oliver Miles and his wife, Julia, fled Libya during a diplomatic crisis in April, they left their pet rabbit, Honeybun, behind in their haste. When Honeybun's plight became known, a London tabloid spent more than $6,000 to return the rabbit to England and award it to a family that had complained about the Miles' heartlessness. "What an absolute waste of money," Mrs. Miles said. "I wish we had eaten it before we left."
