The Animal Liberation Front went on a rampage in England, attacking hunters and fishermen and liberating a polecat, a wildcat, two minks and two foxes in a Scottish wildlife park. The group also declared, falsely, that it had injected rat poison into Mars candy bars to protest Mars Ltd.'s use of monkeys in its tooth-decay research. An ALF spokesman did concede, "We've been campaigning for over 100 years, and nothing has been achieved."
