Whatever the rest of us have been doing since last Valentine's Day, book publishers have kept busy producing volumes on relationships between men and women—and how to inspire, perfect, repair, survive and do without them. The authors of these books nonetheless occasionally offer useful information, at least to those who believe that love has anything to do with information. Reviewing the last few months' worth of such volumes are Margot Dougherty, Campbell Geeslin, Kristin McMurran, Ralph Novak, Vincent Peterson and Carol Wallace, who total among them three marriages, one divorce and a few near misses in both directions.
