Picks and Pans Review: Sex Etiquette

by Marilyn Hamel

How is Hamel, an artist-designer, qualified to answer such questions as, "Is there an etiquette for orgies?" Anyway, if her book is short on wisdom, it shows wit. "Are a few Utopian holidays together a promising sign of live-in potential? It does demand a measure of harmony to agree on who's going to call room service to find out if the $37.50 for two club sandwiches includes a surcharge for the festive toothpicks. It does not, however, quite parallel the stresses of cohabiting." (Delacorte, $13.95)
