One surefire way to make a good sound track is to fill it with proven hits—à la The Big Chill. Kid, set in the '60s, used for backgrounds original records, such as Runaround Sue by Dion and One Fine Day by the Chiffons. The one new tune (Boys Will Be Boys, by Maureen Steele) isn't even in the movie. But this is an oldies trip. (Motown)
