Picks and Pans Review: Bob Hope in Hollywood

Bob Hope

For all the kidding he took from Bing Crosby, Hope was quite a charming singer. He introduced two first-rate pop songs, Two Sleepy People and The Lady's in Love with You, as well as his signature song, Thanks for the Memory, all three in duets with the otherwise obscure yet appealing Shirley Ross. This delightful album includes those songs, in addition to such Crosby-Hope Road movie hoots as Put It There, Pal and Chicago Style. (MCA)
