Picks and Pans Review: A Day Late, a Rating Point Short

There is no justice on TV. ABC's adding two turkeys to the schedule: Hail to the Chief and Me and Mom. NBC—the schizophrenic network, half class, half shlock—is putting the disgusting Hunter back on the air. But meanwhile, ABC's Moonlighting is being yanked as of April 2, virtually unwatched and all but unhyped. Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis starred in this private-eye show with a difference: It was well written, well directed and fun—not great but good. As ABC, now No. 3, guts and rebuilds its lineup for fall, let's hope it finds a spot for Moonlighting. Then there could be justice, after all.
