Every nation has its multigenerational TV saga of greed, power, love and lust. This one is Canada's. Judging from about half of its six hours, Empire, Inc. has its juicy moments and neat twists, though a few too few. And it has spectacular scenery and some good acting. Like our neighbor to the north, it's humble but likable.
