Picks and Pans Review: The Undergrads

UPDATED 05/06/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 05/06/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT

Disney (Sunday, May 5, 8 p.m. ET)

The Undergrads has that fine Disney touch, making a story wholesome but not too mushy. Art Carney plays a grandpa who starts college with his freshman grandson, Chris (My Bodyguard) Makepeace. The plot meanders and goes on a touch too long, but Carney rescues the flick from its foibles with his enduring, endearing charm.
