Someday, maybe, the networks will resist competition for competition's sake and not bunch their blockbusters together. It may be good ratings strategy to put Malice in Wonderland against Part One of Death in California and Peyton Place against Part Two, but that means that people who might watch all three shows can't, unless they have a bank of VCRs. So some blockbusters go bust. And the viewers lose.
