Picks and Pans Review: Dr. Snuggles

UPDATED 05/13/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 05/13/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT

The Doc is a lovable enough old codger and he is surrounded with any number of talking animals, boats and houses. What he is not surrounded with is any young humanlike character with whom children can identify. Adult viewers keep expecting Dennis the Badger to launch into a discussion of the economics of the Medicare program; any even reasonably hip child will wonder if creator Jeffrey O'Kelly and director Jim Terry haven't ever seen Sesame Street or otherwise learned anything about modern video techniques.
