Bloom and Aniston stayed at the sprawling mansion of Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis, while Bosworth stayed in a hotel, sources tell PEOPLE.
There was speculation that something else was going on when paparazzi photos of Aniston, in bikini, and Bloom, in bathing trunks, hit the Internet. The captions mentioned nothing of the wedding event.
However, there was some intrigue. It was the first time that Bloom and Bosworth had seen each other since their split. "So it was a little awkward," a source says.
Reps for Aniston, Bloom and Bosworth weren't immediately available for comment.
