You may think a documentary about the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783 would be a dull outing, about as exciting as defrosting the refrigerator. You'd be right. There's a lot to be said for the thawing of ice. Although exquisitely photographed—much of it in England and France—Peace remains a cold and uninvolving history lesson.
