Picks and Pans Review: Prime (summer) Time

UPDATED 07/22/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 07/22/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT

There's a trend growing in summer TV viewing: More and more you're using rerun time to sample the shows you missed during the regular season. So shows like Miami Vice, Night Court, Newhart, Kate & Allie and Cagney & Lacey are rising to the Top 10. And if the official ratings season lasted from September until now (it ends in April), The Cosby Show would by now be a solid No. 2, second only to Dallas and beating those long-lasting champs Dynasty, 60 Minutes and The A-Team. What good taste you have, America. Here are a few more summer shows for those times when reruns won't do.
