Picks and Pans Review: Faerie Tale Theatre's Greatest Moments

UPDATED 07/22/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 07/22/1985 at 01:00 AM EDT

Showtime (Wednesday, July 17, 8 p.m. ET)

Shelley Duvall celebrates three years of her enchanting series with a party and clips featuring stars from Joan Collins to Mick Jagger. Robin Williams, Liza Minnelli, Tom Conti, Teri Garr, Pee-Wee Herman, Jean Stapleton, Herve Villechaize...everyone who's anyone comes to Shelley's costume parties. The format of the show is a tad contrived: Shelley defends playing loose with fairy tales from the Brothers Grimm ("Fairy tales," she says, "don't have to be grim"). But there's really no cause for complaint. In an hour you still get 60 delightful moments.
