Okay now, Harry, look at the birdie, smile and say, "Cheshire!" It's unlikely that Britain's Prince Andrew, an avid lensman, needed such sweet talk for his first royal assignment from Charles and Diana: snapping these official birthday photos of his godson Prince Harry, who turns 1 year old this week. And you thought they'd take him to Sears.

The pictures were made during a family outing last month aboard the royal yacht Britannia and confirmed what everybody had long suspected, that cherubic Harry, as one tot-watcher has observed, "is growing into a handsome lad." And who better than Uncle Andy to do the job? Well, just about anybody, shuttered Fleet Street skeptics, who wish the Prince could handle an f-stop as well as he does the ladies. Snapped one newspaper wag: "As a photographer, Prince Andrew is an expert helicopter pilot."
