This book is published for the monarchy groupies. Both text and pictures (by Tim Graham) got the royal stamp of approval, so everything included is mighty sweet and pretty. But since the royal okay brought real access, there are some gems. How about Charles and Di dressed to the nines sitting in a war canoe being rowed by bare-chested Maori men? At least the Princess with her silly, yellow hat has the decency to look embarrassed. Or how about Diana dining with a member of her Royal Hampshire Regiment who is a dead ringer for Bruce Springsteen? The most irresistible pictures in the book though are of Princes William and Henry, thumping the piano, riding rocking horses and looking just like the not-so-angelic, energy-packed little boys they must be.
