Cane and disabled
It takes more than a fractured foot to stop Don Johnson from collecting his hard-earned hardware. Johnson, 37, stuck it out at the Golden Globes despite his injury, which he sustained during a stunt on the set of Miami Vice. For his pains, he limped off with the award for best dramatic TV actor, proving once and for all that vice guys can finish first.

The big Streep
Scheduled to give birth in late spring, a very pregnant Meryl Streep, 36, was on hand at the New York Film Critics gala to present Jack Nicholson with the best actor award for Prizzi's Honor. Starring with Nicholson in Heartburn, a movie due this summer, Streep said, "I thought I might get a kiss if I gave this to Jack." Gentleman Jack obliged and added a hug.

A baby rocker
Picture-packing parents Christie Brinkley, 31, and Billy Joel, 36, showed off a photo of 5-week-old daughter Alexa Ray and her grinning uncle Greg Brinkley when they showed up at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. The setting was appropriate. According to Joel, his daughter's middle name is meant as a tribute to inductee Ray Charles.
