Sam Shepard and Jessica Lange took one of the last strolls around their Santa Fe home with Alexandra, 5, Lange's daughter by Mikhail Baryshnikov, and the family pets. The couple (whose daughter, Hannah Jane, was born four months ago) are selling their $450,000 log cabin and moving, reportedly, to a Virginia farm, where Shepard, a polo player, plans to raise horses.
Honoring Brooke Shields' off-Broadway stage debut in The Eden Cinema, which recently ended its four-week run, mom Teri baked a pie and rocker David Lee Roth stopped by at a bash in Manhattan's Palladium. Unfortunately, the critics had already thrown a pie in Brooke's face. "Frankly," said the crusty Daily News, "we liked her Wella Balsam commercials better."
Magnum forced out
Magnum, P.I's Tom Selleck paid an unexpected visit during the season's final taping of The Cosby Show, where he joshed with ratings rival Cosby and Bill's screen daughter Keshia Knight Pulliam. Actually, it was sort of a parting shot for Tom. After a two-year battle on Thursday nights at 8, Magnum is being chased off this week for a tryout in a Saturday slot.

Once in a while Bruce Springsteen likes to step out of the tube and watch someone else perform on video. The Boss stopped by L.A.'s Tower Video to rent Kiss of the Spider Woman, which won William Hurt the Academy Award for best actor. The tape was for hire, even if you're just watching in the dark.
Rockit man Herbie Hancock looked ready to bite off more than he could chew as he pretended to sink his ivories into a Steinway of a birthday cake. The surprise came from the staff of Del Webb's Claridge Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City, where Hancock, now 46, was winding up a three-night gig.
