Royal chartbuster
With her debut single, Irresistible, already a smash in Europe, Monaco's mercurial Princess Stephanie, 21, took the logical next step: She turned up with Chinese dragon dancers on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius to film the video. The sometime model and designer, who changes careers as often as boyfriends, most recently dallied with Christopher (Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes) Lambert. Irresistible's lyrics tell it all: I can't fight the temptation/ Call it physical—call it illogical, still I want a sensation. Still she keeps getting them.

Struthers takes a licking
As co-emcee of Chicago's Pets Are Wonderful contest, Sally Struthers, 42, a proud owner of three Chow-Chows and one Newfoundland, took it on the chin from Brute, a prize bluegrass singing Chihuahua owned by Claude Leflette. Struthers, who'll star in the syndicated 9 to 5 TV series this fall, enjoyed the kiss but warned, "Brute would be lunch for my dogs."

An Ernest likeness
After unveiling a bust of his late father at Boston's JFK Library, author Jack Hemingway, 62 (with Jack Scharr of the studio that sculpted the figure), told how he ignored Papa's advice to avoid writing: "He said it was the toughest racket in the world, and he was right."

Celestial Cassidy
The boyish features have hardened a bit with age. But at 27, former teen idol Shaun Cassidy, with wife Ann Pennington, 35, in L.A., can still flash his heavenly face with the best of them: Next month he stars in Look Homeward, Angel at the Pasadena Playhouse.
