Picks and Pans Review: Bob Dylan in Concert

UPDATED 06/30/1986 at 01:00 AM EDT Originally published 06/30/1986 at 01:00 AM EDT

HBO (Fri., June 27, 11 a.m. ET)

Fans of the Muse of the '60s will be relieved to know that in this Australian concert, Dylan does not appear to be having a prolonged out-of-body experience as he did in Live Aid and in HBO's show about the making of We Are the World. Backed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Dylan starts with one of his religious songs, then sings his classics: Blowin' in the Wind, Just Like a Woman, Knockin' on Heaven's Door. He sounds as good as he ever did.
