Picks and Pans Review: Easy Street

NBC (Sundays, 8 p.m. ET)

So here's the story: Loni (WKRP) Anderson, Vegas show girl, marries a Beverly Hills bucks man and he dies, leaving her his millions and a mansion. But Loni's snooty sister-in-law, Dana (The Color Purple) Ivey, contests the will and moves in. So, to goad her rich relations, Loni invites her bum of an uncle, Jack (Gunsmoke) Elam, and his buddy Lee Weaver to move in too. The story's cute. Loni, as we all know, is more than cute—she's charming. And her show's likable. But still, I shrug. I counted two chuckles in the pilot—not enough to bring me back to a sitcom every week.
