They cut away from their annual hometown concert in Fort Payne, Ala. and turn their sound down so they can talk about being good ole boys who made good, or so Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Dick Clark (the show's producer) and the locals can praise them. The police chief tells you that Fort Payne's finest are so proud of the boys they sewed the words "Home of Alabama" onto their uniforms. The town also calls itself the sock capital of the world. At least socks are humble.
