Cinemax' Sessions series consistently brings together amazing talent in jazz, rock or, this time, gospel. Jennifer Holliday is spectacular singing Mahalia Jackson's His Eye Is on the Sparrow. Andrae Crouch, Luther Vandross, Edwin Hawkins, the Mighty Clouds of Joy, the Oak Ridge Boys and emcee Paul Simon are almost as good—and that's a compliment. One great rousing hour.
