As a founder of the Moonlighting fan club, I must lodge a protest: The show's being rerun these days more than The Monkees. Last November they gave us a great and gutsy Taming of the Shrew in fractured iambic pentameter. But in December it was mostly reruns. In January they stuck us with a show made from old clips and Rona Barrett—that's cheating—and then with a fresh but unfunny episode featuring Miss Dipesto (who's sweet but isn't Cybill Shepherd) and her man, Herbert (who has weird hair but isn't Bruce Willis). We've been robbed! Listen Cybill and Bruce, just because Moonlighting made you stars, that doesn't mean you can make cameos on your own series. If it's true you don't like each other, lighten up. If your producers are slow, speed them up. If you have to quit moonlighting with your commercials, albums and cable specials, do it. Just get back to Moonlighting. Please.
