The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Mission: Impossible, I Spy, Get Smart. It's been a long time since we've had a spy series. But what with today's CIA-NSC-Iran-contra follies, it's time for a new one, and a comedy. Enter Spies. George Hamilton is a well-dressed spook who, when he's shot, worries more about the hole in his suit than the one in his body. After abusing his expense account, Hamilton gets stuck with Gary (Saturday Night Live) Kroeger as his accountant, partner and groupie. "Gosh," Gary tells George, "you are so tan." The pilot, already aired, had a few off moments (playboy George skating with a woman in one weird love scene) and a shortage of good gags. Still, Spies has possibilities.
