Four pregnant women follow very pregnant L.A. fitness instructor Kim Dashiell through a gentle routine approved by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Produced by Priscilla Ulene, wife of the Today show's Dr. Art, this program is designed for women in all stages of pregnancy. Two warm-ups precede sets of exercises for waist, arms and legs, believed to increase energy, enhance strength and maintain muscle tone. The pace is slow, the mood tranquil. The vocal music does not jar and there are no unsightly props. The women, costumed in pink and blue pastel body suits, look like bubbles floating in a cotton candy-colored sky. Dashiell, who gave birth the day after shooting this video in 1985, returns in the Postnatal Exercise Program to lead a quartet of new mothers through a more vigorous routine. Each of these handsomely produced 55-minute tapes comes with a do's and don'ts booklet offering tips on safety, nutrition, reducing back pain and more. (Feeling Fine, $39.95 each)
