Two cretinous teens, Patricia Arquette (Rosanna's sister) and Dermot Mulroney, have sex and have a baby. Arquette won't accept either alternative to parenthood—adoption or abortion—but the script doesn't say exactly why. The show also seems to be against birth control, implying that kids equipped with condoms become instant lovemaking machines. Even sex education ends up looking futile; after taking Birds and Bees 101, the boy still thinks that "you couldn't get pregnant the first time." The issue of the week is teen pregnancy. The message is muddled.
